WhatsApp reportedly working on a new Undo-Button Feature for Deleted Messages

WhatsApp is most likely developing a new feature that will allow users to recover deleted messages. The Mets-owned Company had previously provided the ‘delete message’ tool, which came as a huge comfort to its users; nevertheless, many people make the mistake of selecting the ‘Delete for me’ option rather than the ‘Delete for everyone option. As a result, WhatsApp is developing a new function to address this problem.

The New Feature will allow users to restore an unintentionally deleted message in WhatsApp

For a limited time, the ‘undo’ option will appear near the bottom of the screen, allowing users to restore an erased message to life. WhatsApp users will have a limited time to make the modifications, according to Wabetanifo, a WhatsApp updates tracker. According to reports, the capability is rolling out with WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.22.13.5.

The new function will work in the same way as Gmail’s ‘undo’ button shows when you press ‘Send,’ giving you a few extra seconds to undo an incomplete message. Other messaging apps, such as Telegram, already provide a similar capability.

Users should be aware that the ‘Undo’ button and new chat filter are still in development, and it is unclear when they will be available to them.
