Many fans were disappointed by the recent delay of Starfield, which had been promoted as the big release of autumn 2022 for quite some time. But it wasn’t all bad news. Bethesda stated at the moment that it would demonstrate more of the game shortly, which matched the basic logo design of the Xbox and Bethesda Games presentation.
Bethesda kept its word and showed off Starfield gameplay for the first time at the end of the Showcase. For the most part, it appears to be what people expected, which isn’t always a negative thing. It appears that the wait for Starfield will be much more agonizing.
In this brand-new Starfield gameplay trailer, the player is seen setting foot on the moon Krete and searching for a deserted research facility.
When the trailer first reveals some bizarre extraterrestrial animals, it does indicate first and third-person gameplay. The figure finally engages in combat as seen below, displaying a weapon wheel, a few guns, as well as the Crimson Fleet adversary faction.
The display then moved on to New Atlantis and gave a brief introduction to Constellation, the first faction. More of its city and characters were displayed in this, providing fans with a more comprehensive view of its approach and style. Character creation, spacecraft combat, customization, and other elements were also demonstrated. Particularly, the spaceship customization has a lot of potential, but the space combat may use some work. Nevertheless, the idea of visiting thousands of worlds is intriguing.
While a new release date for Starfield is still pending, it was stated that the Showcase would concentrate on games coming out in the coming year. This makes the rumor that Starfield will release early in 2023 seem much more plausible, but for now, fans will have to wait and see.
