Sony has revealed the new lineup of free PS5 and PS4 games that will be available through PlayStation Plus in March 2023. Typically, Sony waits until the last week of each month to reveal the new PS Plus titles for the following month. Rather than waiting until next week, the company behind PlayStation chose to reveal the games for March in its new State of Play presentation.

As usual, PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers will be able to download three new games in March 2023. The highlight of March’s lineup is Battlefield 2042, which will be available to download natively for both PS5 and PS4. Despite a rocky start in 2021, Electronic Arts and DICE have continued to update Battlefield 2042 to improve the game’s quality.

EA is attempting to reach a wider audience by bringing the multiplayer shooter to PS Plus

Minecraft Dungeons will be joining Battlefield 2042 in the coming month. Dungeons, which was released in 2020, is a spin-off in the Minecraft series that has more in common with games like Diablo and Torchlight. The Minecraft Dungeons version coming to PS Plus will only be available on PS4.

Finally, Code Vein will round out the PlayStation Plus lineup for the month. Code Vein, a Soulslike title published by Bandai Namco, features vibrant, anime-style artwork. By most accounts, Code Vein is the least popular game that will be featured on PS Plus in the coming month, but it has received enough positive feedback from fans and critics to warrant a look.
