The world is all set to enter into the quarter-finals of football’s greatest tournament, i.e., the football world cup, starting tomorrow with Brazil and Croatia taking on each other in the first match.
The tournament began with 32 teams in the quest of attaining the world crown, and cut to the present time, eight have survived in the run. So far, the fans have seen many surprises in the competition with several upsets occurring too. What’s up for the upcoming round of 8?

Brazil vs Croatia
It’s surely going to be a memorable clash as the 2018 runners-up take on the five-times world champions. Brazil had been exceptional in the group stages, including their last group fixture, where they beat South Korea 4-1.
On the other hand, Croatia has shown massive temperament in the tournament to finish second in Group F and enter the round of 8. Their round of 16 fixture against Japan was a thriller where after a tied game, they defeated Japan 3-1 in the penalty shootout.

Netherlands vs Argentine
The clash of the Titans, the Dutch and Argentina is on 10th December. The two times champions will take on the three times runners-up in an exciting game of football.
The tournament had been smooth for the orange army, who won all the group matches except one that ended in a tie. Argentina, on the other hand, started its journey with a loss against South Korea that upset the fans. However, since the second game, they have been brilliant, with Messi being in great form.

Morocco vs Portugal
Morocco will take on Portugal the next Saturday afternoon in their first-ever World Cup quarter-final appearance. The Moroccans have surprised the world with great football and defeated the 2010 world champions Spain in the pre-quarterfinals in the penalty shootout after a goalless game.
The Portuguese army, on the other hand, has shown a great attitude even in the absence of their legend Cristiano Ronaldo with a tremendous attacking fluency. They’ll be looking forward to beating Morocco and entering the semis.
England vs France
Here’s another stunning encounter as the reigning champions will take on terrific England in the Quarterfinals. The French had a great group stage where they ensured their knockout entry just after two matches of beating Australia (4-1) and Denmark (2-1).
England has been great, too, as they entered the pre-quarters with a second consecutive 3-0 win, delivering 12 goals in total and giving away only two. It’s surely going to be a treat for Football fans to watch.
