PSG President Nasser AI-Khelaifi has expressed his willingness a move on Marcus Rashford before getting into his final six months contract with Manchester United. Reports revealed back in October that United was aiming to engage Marcus Rashford in a super new deal to avoid interest from competitor clubs.
The authority at Manchester United is yet to renew his terms entering into the Christmas tenure. It signifies he’ll be up for a free move abroad for the upcoming summer as the year turns.
Nasser AI-Khelaifi is interested in signing Marcus Rashford next summer
President Nasser AI-Khelaifi has confirmed that PSG will be one of the clubs willing to sign the 25-year-old from Manchester, signing a possible transfer in 2023.
To quote the French Giant’s president,
“Rashford is amazing and for free? Every club will run after him. Definitely, we are not hiding it. We spoke before, was not a good moment for both sides. Maybe (in the summer). Why not? We’re not going to talk to them now, let them focus on the Worldcup.“
Rashford’s great form earned him a place in the Worldcup squad
Marcus Rashford got into Gareth Southgate’s squad after getting back in great form and scoring nine goals for the United. He had been in great form in the Qatar 2022 World Cup as well, having started brilliantly in England’s 6-2 win against Iran. In their 3-2 win against Wales, he scored two goals as well.
Rashford wants to stay back at Old Trafford, where he joined at the age of seven. However, if negotiations don’t work out, he’ll surely attract a lot of willing suitors. In his 322 games, he has scored a magical 101 goals. The United could activate their 12-month extension clause to have another year to bind him to longer terms.
