The boundary is a multiplayer tactical space-based shooter in which players take on the role of a heavily armed astronaut in space, engaging in fierce zero-gravity firefights and carrying out low-gravity operations on orbiting space installations against enemy astronauts and other entities.
As the Earth reaches capacity and natural resources dwindle, space has provided a new frontier for man to explore and populate. In the not-too-distant future, the invention of space elevators will make access to orbiting facilities both affordable and convenient. Along with this new era of space exploration and life, a new breed of scum and villainy emerges, as governments, mercenaries, pirates, and outlaws seek to plunder the universe for valuable goods to sell on the black market or keep for themselves.
A new breed of criminal enterprise necessitates a new breed of galactic enforcement, so specially trained tactical astronauts take the fight to the harsh extremes of space in interdiction missions to intercept hijackers and criminals with lethal force.
In Boundary, players will take on the role of Astroperators, engaging in intense 5v5 battles in zero-gravity space. In Boundary, players must navigate flying debris in the vast expanse of space while also detecting enemy assaults from all angles. The boundary will launch with four multiplayer modes: Team Deathmatch, Facility Capture, Orbital Purge, and Skirmish. The fast and agile shooter will focus on 5v5 and 3v3 matches with fierce zero gravity firefights in 8 different multiplayer maps as an FPS game.
Boundary aims to provide a tailored approach to load-outs, space suits, and tactical space warfare by offering a plethora of customization options for players to choose from.
Weapons range from machine pistols to converted assault rifles and more powerful sniper rifles, all of which use a modular upgrade system that allows the player to mix and match as desired. Individual weapons can also be customized using a wide variety of available components such as optical sights, muzzles, stocks, barrels, and foregrips.
The EMU suit will assist players in navigating space. Players can customize their EMU suits by adding offensive and defensive weapons, as well as selecting between light, medium, and heavy packs. From their class to weapons, ammunition, and EMUs, players will be able to create custom loadouts in Boundary for complete tactical control. These mobility units, which have external pylons, can carry a variety of ordinances such as radar-guided rockets, EMP grenades, and defensive countermeasures.
Ammunition types also play a tactical role in Boundary, and players can equip their weapons with a mix of ammunition types. By combining armor-piercing rounds with explosive rounds and EMP rounds, lethality can be increased while causing catastrophic damage and impairing an enemy’s ability to respond.
