Ben Foster has come out of retirement to join Wrexham until the end of the season. It was certainly an absolute stunner out of nowhere from Ben Foster to join the Nation League leaders. His move happened  just a month after Tottenham failed to lure Foster to north London as cover for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris who has been injured.

The former Premier League footballer who played some decent spells during his time at the Manchester United, Birmingham, West Brom, as well as Watford, will strike back to the Welsh side for the first time in 18 years, having previously played there on loan in 2005.

    Foster in this regard

Upon signing the club, Ben Foster said that he is over the moon. He has been in the club an hour this morning and it seems a really nice place indeed. Everyone at the club is very humble and down to earth, and the manager is top class as well. He further said that it has changed a lot since he was last there but it is nice to be back and it is nice to be back as a player too. It will be interesting to see how his body feels on training and he is looking forward to get started.

The first time he was there it was genuinely the springboard to the rest of his career – on the back of the loan move, playing in the LDV Vans Trophy Final at the Millennium Stadium, he got his move to Manchester United at the start of the next season. It was absolutely bonkers!
