Australia came to bat first and registered a gigantic score of nearly 400. Australian great David Warned scored his second consecutive ton, eventually ending up at 104 of 93 balls. Also, Steve Smith came back in form and played a decent knock of 71, along with Marnus Labuschagne, who scored a good 62.
However, despite all these decent knocks along with Warner’s magnificent century, then man who completely took the game away from Netherland’s hand is Glen Maxwell who also registered a ton of 106 of only 44 balls with 9 fours and 8 sixes with a ridiculous strike rate of 240.91. Netherlands coming to bat wasn’t able to stand strong and the Australian bowlers dominated completely and got their opposition all out at 90.

As mentioned, Australia didn’t start well in the tournament; however, the tables have now turned. Though there’s long work that needs to be done to confirm their spot in the knockouts, if they continue performing like this, then their entry to the semis is confirmed indeed. The batters have regained their form, which has also helped the bowling department to do well and earn confidence. Australia is playing a team game now, which is needed to win the World Cup, and they have even done the same on multiple occasions.
On the other hand, there are several players who are playing their last World Cup, and Australian great David Warner is also on the list. However, despite this face, David Warner has gained his brilliant form back and is playing like a pocket dynamite. He already scored a couple of centuries,, and still, there’s a long way to go. In the previous World Cup also, he played brilliantly, scoring three centuries, and this time, he is working in the same way.
