Kenya Barris and Jonah Hill’s upcoming romantic comedy film has got an official trailer of ‘You People’. In this film he, himself is a multi-talented figure in the film and television industry. This is best known for being the creator of the Emmy Award-winning Black-ish and the show’s two spin-offs Grown-ish and Mixed-ish. All of Barris’ stories concurrently and thoughtfully commentate on the black experience in America. Along with the humorous effect, Barris is clearly in this comedy world. Barris has also got his hand in writing for various feature films.

Such as the legacy sequel Coming to 2 America with the multi-generation-uniting reboot of Shaft. In the upcoming film project, Kenya Barris is set to take on directing duties for his feature directorial debut.

Kenya Barris, Eddie Murphy, and Jonah Hill forming a trio of comedic geniuses in it should be more than enough to garner interest from audiences, but in case anyone out there is looking for even more details on the upcoming film, here is everything we know so far about You People.

    You People: Plot

The film follows Hill’s parents become a major factor in the film. We are going to see Julia Louis-Dreyfus and David Duchovny. Netflix has shown Murphy, Long, Louis-Dreyfus, and Duchovny all eating dinner together. We are going to see the different political views and cultures again make themselves known. The viewpoints of their parents not going to affect the relationship between Hill and London and put a damper on their plans for engagement.

    You People: Trailer Details

You, People, is mainly focusing on one scene that adds to what audiences set to expect when the movie premieres early next year. The scene unveils the character of the Hill just taking out his potential in-laws with the luxurious breakfast/lunch/brunch at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles. The place he hopes to convince them as he’ll become a good husband to their daughter. Hill is going to be more than a little bit nervous while discussing with them. Murphy’s character as well as his wife aren’t finding themselves convinced by his attempts.

    You People- Cast

Jonah Hill doing another comedy is slightly surprising given that the actor and filmmaker have recently been trying to distance himself from the genre, or at the very least is desiring to show that he’s more than the typecast characters he’s best known for such as seen in Superbad, 21 Jump Street, and more. Having a major creative role in the film is certainly a major plus for any actor wishing to prove they are more than a one-trick pony, which Hill has already done with projects like Mid90s and will hopefully continue to do so with You People.

The rest of the cast is rounded out by Andrea Savage, Rhea Perlman, Elliott Gould, Molly Gordon, Bryan Greenberg, La La Anthony, Andrew Schulz, Mike Epps, Travis Bennett, Sam Jay, rapper Yung Miami, Khadijah Haqq, Jordan Firstman, Matt Walsh, Emily Arlook, Hal Linden, Winnie Holzman, Richard Benjamin, Deon Cole, and Felipe Esparza.
