Suryakumar Yadav becomes the first Indian to cross 1000 T20I runs in a calendar year

    Suryakumar Yadav who’s the world’s number 1 batter achieved one more milestone. he became the first Indian player to cross 1000 T20I runs in one calendar year. Suryakumar Yadav mustered 61 runs off 21 balls that helped India to post a big target of 187 runs against Zimbabwe.

    Suryakumar Yadav is the number 1 batter in the world and smashed good runs against the African side. In the game, he came to bat at number 4 and he performed from the very first delivery. His batting strike rate was 244 and he hit 6 boundaries and 4 sixes. KL Rahul smashed a fifty and Virat Kohli managed to score 26 runs. India also finalised its spot in the semifinals against England.

    After Mohammad Rizwan, Suryakumar became just the second player to accomplish the feat. In 2021, Rizwan scored 1326 runs. In the most recent ICC rankings, Suryakumar surpassed Rizwan to take the top spot among T20I batters just four days ago.

    Suryakumar Yadav has been in a very good form in the T20 World Cup where e mustered two half- centuries in the first three outings. He mustered 68 runs off 40 deliveries against South Africa where the top batters couldn’t score good runs. In 2022, he piled up 1006 runs in T20Is including a century.

    Making his T20I debut for India on March 14 2021 and has surely come along way.

    He has one T20I century and 11 half-centuries and his ability to smash in all parts of the ground makes him outstanding. Suryakumar Yadav reached his fifty in just 23 balls, which made him the fourth-fastest fifty by an Indian in T20 World Cups. He’s the second player in the history of T20 cricket to score 1000 runs in a calendar year.
