In the third ODI international of the men in blues against Australia, Suryakumar Yadav registered his third consecutive golden duck, and went to the pavilion without scoring a single run in the series.
The world’s number one T20 batsman has been in a phenomenal form in the shorter formats, however it is not working in the ODIs. Even a few days before, white ball cricket wasn’t even through without Suryakumar Yadav, but now questions have been arising on his position in the team in the ODI World Cup this year.

Commentrators were utterly shocked to see Suryakumar Yadav getting dismissed on zero again. Their statements signified that they simply can’t believe it, and even no one could believe it. Fans all over the country have already started saying that he isn’t a good fit for the format, rather he should be used in the ODIs only.
In the first two innings, he got out on leg before wicket in the hands of Mitchell Starc, and this time, Aston Agar bowled him out. As questions have started to arise whether he will fit for the World Cup or not, will be answered on his performance in the upcoming ODIs which will take place once the Indian Premier League gets over. Though it might not be true that he is not a good fit for ODI, rather it can just be a coincidence that he registered a hat-trick of ducks.
On the other hand, fans were also furious to see Sanju Samson not getting selected again and again, and if this thing continues with Yadav, Samson will most likely replace him. Overall, Yadav needs to play incredible innings to ensure his position in the ODI squad.
