Street Fighter 6 carries on Capcom’s recent string of extraordinarily popular games. In terms of concurrent gamers on Steam, the game has surpassed well-known fighting titles like Mortal Kombat 11 and Tekken 7 and is now selling briskly.

The game now has more than 1 million players, according to a brief update from Capcom. Street Fighter 6 represents a comeback for the venerable fighting game series. This upgrade is the first step towards Capcom’s 10-million-sales target.

The update also discloses that the overall number of sales for the Street Fighter franchise had topped 50 million.

In addition to sales, Street Fighter 6 has received amazing reviews.

It has been said by several critics that it has the potential to be the best in the series because it provides an appealing blend of content and fun gameplay.

In the past, Street Fighter 5 sold more than 1.4 million copies within about three weeks of its release. The game didn’t sell as well as Capcom had hoped, although this doesn’t appear to be the case with the most current release.

In an interview with Famitsu, Haruhiro Tsujimoto revealed that the business wants the game to become the best-selling title in the series by expanding the game’s horizons and making the franchise more acceptable to less ‘hardcore’ fighting game enthusiasts.

“Over the past few years, multiple titles in the Resident Evil series have sold 10 million copies, and the Monster Hunter series now has titles that are aiming for 20 million copies,” Tsujimoto explained. “Street Fighter V has already sold over 7 million copies, so if we can make use of our digital sales experience, we should be able to aim for 10 million copies with the next game. That’s why we’re trying to do everything we couldn’t do before with Street Fighter 6 – that’s why we’re where we are today.”

Post-launch content in the form of characters will be added to the game, with the first few already announced. As a result, Street Fighter 6 is off to a tremendous start, and the game has a promising future ahead of it.
