Strange Things season 4 is an upcoming series of the American science fiction horror drama TV series. It is produced by Duffer Brothers along with Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Lain Paterson. It seems that it will be released on Netflix in 2022. The production of the series has started and it is still running and yet to wrap. This series does not need any further introduction as it has been one of the biggest hits on Netflix. The first season was released in the year 2016.
Renewal Status
After being mocked for few days, Netflix has announced on 30th September 2019 that it has signed a multi-year deal with The Duffer Brothers. It has recently been confirmed that Strange Things will return for a fourth season. This series is one of the top deals of Netflix with Shawn Levy, who is the producer of the series. After the date has been thrown about 2021, it is expected that season 4 is going to be released this year. But Finn Wolfhard has signaled that the series would hopefully return in the next year which means 2022.
Production
The series has also been produced outside of Atlanta. In the history of the show, it has previously also been seen that the production was taken place outside of Atlanta. The filming of the series was started extensively in Vilnius, Lithuania at some unknown date. The filming of the series had wrapped up in February 2020.
The filming of the main portion was originally supposed to begin on 7th January 2020, and it was also scheduled to end on 5th August 2020. But due to Pandemic, the filming has stopped. In the middle of June 2020, it was heard that the series has completed its entire script.
On Twitter, Stranger Things season 4 coming close behind. There are lots of filming that has been done on the location. It was heard that this series has moved towards New Mexico for the fourth season. In October 2020, we got the confirmation that it is recently due to happen in December 2020.
Shaw Levy has also said that the pandemic has delayed massively shooting, and therefore the launching of season 4 is still TBD.
It has also got some positive impacts from the Duffer brothers for the very first time. To write the whole season before they shoot it and also have time to rewrite it in the way that they had done it very rarely.
It has been updated that they were filming outside of Hawkins High School on 23rd April 2021.
In July 2021, the production has moved to New Mexico, and the filming has been wrapped up in August 2020.
Is season 4 is the Final Season?
It is very tough to say that whether season 4 is going to be the final or not. Shawn Levy has said that they have a good sense of stuff that would take place in season 4. He has given surety that season 4 would definitely take place but at the same time, it is not decided that whether the series would go beyond this or not?
As they always start with a good sense of the principal arcs of the season. They would be ready for shifts and surprises trips that would be given by Duffers in a different and surprising manner as they started to rewrite the scripts.
The Duffer brothers have also said that they are not clear about the fifth season whether they would take place or not. They have also said that they are very uncertain about which point they were standing on the fifth season.
Episodes
The fourth season contains eight episodes same as the first and third seasons. But from the writer’s desk, it has been heard that there are nine scripts present. Stranger Things has been announced on the Twitter account about the first episode of the series and the writers.

Expectations from the Stranger Things Season 4
As Hopper’s body has not seen disintegrated by the outburst of power from the Russian’s machine but assumed for the worst. It seems that Hopper must have used the opening of the world created by the machine to jump from Hawkins to Kamchatka and then ended up being caught by Russians. There is only one chance left for Hopper to escape which is he has to use the machine and return his journey to the USA.
The Byers and Eleven have moved to pastures new after bidding goodbye to their friends. Eleven has made it clear that they will talk and meet up by visiting them as soon as they can. Mike will visit the Byers for giving thanks, Joyce will be asked to stay with Mike for Christmas if she can. It is expected that the new season will be based on Christmas. The return of Jonathan to Hawkins would be cross their relationship with Nancy Wheeler.
If we the audiences think that the Mindflayer was destroyed then there you are going to make a big mistake. In the entire season 3, we have seen the creatures which was a conduit use of a Mindflayer. After their world shut down the connection got lost between the Upside Down, and thus the body got destroyed.
Now Mindflayer is safe and sounds cool in the Upside Down but is trapped. It is expected that he will come back with a vengeance and will look for revenge on the towns of Hawkins after being thwarted twice. It is expected that the returning process is going to be excited.
It seems that the big revelation will take place at the end of the fourth season. It seems that capturing of Demogorgon by Russians will be seen at the ending. Firstly the Russians had found a Demo dog until its hind leg got revealed and its true form came out.
It is still not clear that how they will capture a Demogorgon, but it is expected that they will find one of the similar spawns to Austin’s pet D’Artagnan in the second season. But one thing was very much clear from Dustin’s connection with D’Artagnan that the creatures from Upside Down can make bonds, it does not make any impact whether it is big or small? If the Russians rare the correct Demogrogan since their birth then they can tame the monsters also. Russians study the creature and reveal that Demogorgon likes to feed regularly, and they possess the ability to go in and out of the Upside Down.
