Sex Education is a comedy-drama series created by Laurie Nunn. It is a British show. It is directed by Ben Taylor and Runyararo Mapfumo. It is produced by the production company named Eleven Film. It consists of 2 seasons that have already been released. Recently the 3rd season is going to release in this year. The first two seasons consists of 16 episodes excluding the new season’s episodes. Its running time is approximately 47-59 minutes.
It was firstly premiered on 11th January 2019. After the release, it became a grand commercial success for the OTT platform. Netflix crossed 40 million viewers streaming the first series after its debut. The second series was released on 17th February 2020.
Season 3 of Sex Education is going to release on Netflix. Netflix has announced on Thursday, 24th June 2021 that Sex Education season 3 will arrive on 17th September 2021.
Season 3 will be an eight-episode series. It stars Asa Butterfield’s return as Otis, Emma Mackey as Maeve, Ncuti Gatwa as Eric, Gillian Anderson as Jean, Aimee Lou Wood as Aimee, and Kedar Williams-Stirling as Jackson. It also stars Connor Swindells, Chaneil Kular, Simone Ashley, Mimi Keene, Tanya Reynolds, Mikael Persbrandt, and Patricia Allison, among others. It also added Jason Isaacs and Dua Saleh to the cast in this new season.
Recently, Netflix has shared the updated news regarding the must-awaited chapter of the series on its official Twitter account along with its first look pictures, it also includes the new cast member Jemima Kirke.
According to Deadline, the synopsis of season three is: “It”s a new year, Otis is having casual sex, Eric and Adam are official, and Jean has a baby on the way. Meanwhile, new headteacher Hope (played by Kirke) tries to return Moordale to a pillar of excellence, Aimee discovers feminism, Jackson gets a crush and a lost voicemail still looms. Prepare for commitment animals, alien phenomena, vulva cupcakes, and much more of Madam Groff.”
