Prithvi Shaw got engaged in a fight, and his friend had to pay the price for his stardom. The event took place on Thursday in Mumbai when the Indian cricketer refused to take a selfie with a couple of fans. In retaliation, the fans thrashed his friend’s car, and eventually, an FIR was registered with the police.
People saw this event coming out of now where, and eventually, a fan got him arrested, and further actions are to be taken. With the people thrashing the car of Prithvi Shaw’s friend, the cricketer eventually got engaged in a fight with them, creating a great offense.
DCP Anil Paraskar in this regard
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Anil Paraskar, said in this regard that an offense was registered in the Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai that came under the sections of unlawful assembly, extortion along with other sections. As per the investigation, it has been found out that the accused damaged the car of the complaint and then demanded a total of INR 50,000 to let go of the matter. One of the accused has been arrested, and efforts are being carried out to nab the other people, Anil Paraskar further added.
Prthvi Shaw is currently not with the Indian team
Prithvi Shaw was with the Indian T20 squad last month, in New Zealand’s tour to India, where he wasn’t able to get a chance in the playing team. India is currently engaged in the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia, where Shaw isn’t present in the squad and might be doing some of his personal work.
And in the meantime, this event took place, and indeed it was a great harassment for Prithvi Shaw. As mentioned by the DCP, further actions are yet to be taken on those who are not arrested but are accused.
