Tiger Woods appears on the cover of PGA Tour 2K23, which is released on October 14 by 2K Sports, about six months ahead of rival EA Sports. Twenty real-world courses will be included in the professional golf simulation at launch, and hundreds more will be made available by the community through HB Studios’ powerful Course Designer.

Real-life golfers who appear in PGA Tour 2K23 include Lexi Thompson of the LPGA, Justin Thomas, the 2022 PGA Championship victor, and Woods. Henni Koyack of GolfTV is joining Rich Beem and Luke Elvy in the commentary box this time, providing on-course reporting.

The third golf simulation game to be released by 2K Sports—which bought developer HB Studios in March 2021—PGA Tour 2K23 will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Before incorporating PGA Tour licensing in The Golf Club 2019, HB released The Golf Club and The Golf Club 2 for consoles.

EA Sports has yet to provide a launch date for the EA Sports PGA Tour resurrection, which was originally scheduled to debut in 2021 but was postponed in March by a full year to 2023. However, that game will include all four major championship events—including the Master’s Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club—in their actual venues. More than a dozen real-world tour stops are included in PGA Tour 2K23’s MyCareer mode, including the FedEx Cup championship and the season-ending Tour Championship.

According to a news release on Monday, PGA Tour 2K23 will feature a number of the casual and minigame modes that helped PGA Tour 2K21’s online play become highly popular, as well as a “Clubhouse Pass” featuring seasonal, unlocked content from nine PGA Tour, sponsors licensed to appear in the game.

Three variants of PGA Tour 2K23 will be available at launch, and each of them contains a Michael Jordan Bonus Pack that adds the basketball legend, who is also a fiercely competitive amateur golfer, to the playable roster. More in-game customizations, perks, and content are included in the Deluxe Edition and Tiger Woods Edition, both of which are available three days earlier on October 11.
