Motorola may soon launch the successor the Moto G Power 2021 in the market. After several leaks and rumours, the renders of the Moto G Power 2022 has been leaked online. Along with the renders, the specifications of the upcoming smartphone has also been revealed. It is important to note that Motorola had unveiled the Moto G Power 2021 in January this year. However, it now looks like that the Lenovo-owned company is on its way to launch the successor to the smartphone, sooner than we had expected.
As per the renders shared by GizNext, Moto G Power 2022 is seen to have a textured back panel with a wave design that is said to help it keep away from scratches and fingerprint smudges. There is Motorola’s iconic batwing logo with an integrated fingerprint scanner on the back, as per the leaked images.
While Moto G Power 2021 had a centrally aligned square camera module, the rumoured 2022 model is seen with a rectangular module in the top left corner with the camera stacked vertically. The renders also show that the right edge of the handset has the volume as well as the power keys, and the left edge has a SIM card tray.
Moto G Power 2022 specifications (Expected)
In terms of specifications, Moto G Power 2022 will be powered by a “new Qualcomm budget SoC”. Although previous rumours said that the smartphone is said to come equipped with the MediaTek Helio G37 SoC. The processor will be coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The smartphone is expected to run on Android 11 out of the box. As far as the display size is concerned, Moto G Power 2022 will feature a 6.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate.
On the optics front, the Moto G Power 2022 has been said to get a 50 MP (f/1.8) main shooter and a secondary 2 MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. The details of the third camera in the triple camera setup are unknown but we can expect that to be a 2MP macro camera. At the front, the hole punch cut out will host an 8MP sensor for selfies.
Amongst other details, it has been rumoured that the Moto G Power 2022 will come with a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging. NFC, IP52 dust and water resistance, fingerprint sensor present beneath the Motorola ‘M’ logo and a 3.5mm headphone jack will all be packaged into a 9.36mm thick form factor.
