Kylian Mbappe has become the all-time top scorer of Paris Saint Germain by beating Edinson Cavani, who earlier had the record. His brilliant goal against Nantes that came in the 92nd minute led him to achieve this record, surpassing Cavani’s 200-goal mark. And most importantly, which is even more incredible, Mbappe broke the record to mark his name just at the age of 24.

    Mbappe overtook Edinson Cavani

Mbappe registered his first goal against Metz on 8 September 2017, and now his 201st goal against Nantes on 4 March 2023; the journey of the Frenchman has been brilliant. The striker smashed his 200-goal mark in only just 247 games. Comparing those figures to Edinson Cavani, he reached that feat in 301 games. The average of the Frenchman is 0.81 goals per game in a PSG shirt, which is almost a goal per game.

And if we keep this record aside, Kylian Mbappe is also the top-scorer of the club in the Champions League with a total of 34 goals. The footballer took six seasons to achieve these legendary figures, which is indeed astonishing. Besides, Mbappe is also the top scorer in the tournament that he plays, i.e., Ligue 1 in the last four editions, and this season he has been absolutely phenomenal.

    The Frenchman, in this regard

The party for the footballer achieving this feat burst out at Parc des Princes, and the trophy was set aside, too, to immortalize the moment. The party was in full swing, and between that, Mbappe, in an interview said that it had been a privilege for him to play here. He is a Parsian, and being in PSG is special indeed. He arrived at the club where he was young, and he has grown a lot on as well as off the pitch.
