The Qatar World Cup 2022 has been awesome for Ethan Mbappe Lottin. While his brother Kylian was sensational in the tournament with eight goals and two assists, winning the golden boot, he utilized the World Cup break to rise firmly through the ranks at Paris Saint-Germain.
Ethan enjoying a great rise at PSG in first-team training sessions
Ethan, made his debut in the Youth League in September. He joined training with the first team for the first time by October end and rightly using the absence of World Cup players, he has become a first name in PSG’s first-team training sessions.
What’s more fascinating is that Ethan had his debut for PSG in a friendly match during the break on December 16th. He had 45 minutes of playing time, replacing Fabian Ruiz in halftime. It was a 2-1 win over Paris FC and he appeared in the last 20 minutes in the 3-1 victory against Quevilly Rouen on December 21st.
What happens when all the internationals return?
Ethan will turn 16 at the December end. After all the internationals are back, he’ll probably be back to the youth team. There, he already has two assists to his name. Whatever the case, it’s interesting to see him in training sessions alongside his brother Kylian Mbappe for now.
Keeping football in mind, both of them don’t have a lot in common. Unlike Kylian, Ethan is left-footed and plays inside or as a midfielder, mostly on the left. He is also noted for his excellent set-piece shooting. His career, at present, looks quite promising. Just a year back, he renowned a contract with PSG and has just got a call in the France under-16 squad.
It’ll be interesting to see both the Mbappe brothers doing wonders on the football field.
