Cristiano Ronaldo could be on his way out of Manchester United this summer. The Portugal captain has been absent from the club’s pre-season, and over the last few weeks, speculation over a move to Atletico Madrid has become prominent.

This has resulted in mixed reactions from Atletico fans, with some strongly opposing a move for their rivals’ biggest legend of all-time. As a result, it is yet unclear if any move will materialise for the veteran this summer.

As of right now, Manchester United have their eyes on RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko as the potential replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. They aren’t in advanced talks with the Austrian side yet, and are simply aware of the player’s availability.

Newcastle United are also monitoring the RB Salzburg forward, with a potential move being rumoured. However, the Magpies haven’t made any advances as of yet either.

Chelsea and Bayern Munich were linked with Cristiano Ronaldo’s signature a few weeks ago. But, the interest surrounding him has died down in recent weeks. There have been suggestions that due to Chelsea’s attacking woes, they should go after the Portugal captain.

However, Thomas Tuchel has refrained from signing the superstar this summer. Moreover, Bayern’s board have also not stepped forward to sign him as the replacement for Robert Lewandowski. As a result, Atletico Madrid is the only club that is being linked with the striker for the time being.
