    Like Father Like Son: Arjun Tendulkar scores a ton on his Ranji debut just like his father Sachin Tendulkar

    All-rounder Arjun Tendulkar made his Ranji debut against Rajasthan and smashed a ton. He smashed a century in 178 balls. Junior Tendulkar followed in the footsteps of his father Sachin Tendulkar as he mustered a ton too in Ranji’s debut. Senior Tendulkar made his Ranji debut back in 1988 against Gujarat. Tendulkar came to bat at no.7 and his innings consisted of 12 fours and two sixes.

    Junior Tendulkar came to bat after Goa lost significant wickets of Siddesh Lad in the 79th over at a score of 196. His innings took Goa past the 300-run mark. He along with Suyash Prabhudesai mustered a ton and have an unbeaten partnership of 198/6 on Day 2.

    Sachin Tendulkar made his Ranji debut for Mumbai when he was just 15 years. He scored an unbeaten 100 off 129 deliveries consisting of 12 boundaries. he became the youngest batter to touch the three-digit mark on his Ranji debut.

    Mumbai is one of the strongest teams of the present in domestic cricket. Arjun Tendulkar played a couple of games for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy but wasn’t included in the Playing XI of the Ranji Trophy last year. Of the lack of opportunities, he shifted his to Goa. He’s a part of the Mumbai Indians squad but he’s yet to play for the team.

    Arjun Tendulkar had a good white-ball season. At the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20s, he scalped ten wickets in seven matches at a very impressive economy rate of 5.69. He was also Goa’s second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament after Lakshay Garg. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he was Goa’s leading wicket-taker having scalped seven wickets in the eight outings at an average of 32.37 at an economy rate of 4.98.
