Kylian Mbappe is seemingly satisfied with his situation at Paris Saint-Germain after agreeing to sign a contract extension in May last year. The young man demanded to lead a competitive PSG side, further demanding a promise that the club would strengthen the squad.
Mbappe demands to stay at PSG
Reportedly, Mbappe has asked PSG to significantly consider the signing of Bernardo Silva from Manchester City. Mbappe is firm that the team has more creativity in the final third and is willing that the midfielder brings the required spark upfront.
The first limitation to a seeming Silva move to PSG is that the contract lasts till June 2025. However, on various occasions earlier, Silva has publicly stated that he’s up to leave the club for an intriguing offer. His present market value stands at 86.8 million euros, but Pep Guardiola wouldn’t smoothly agree about him leaving the club.
The midfielder is a crucial inclusion in the team, although, in recent games, he has accused the 28-year-old and the other players of lacking the correct attitude.
Two old acquaintances
Mbappe and Silva played together in Monaco between 2015 and 2017. Alongside each other, they had 52 matches together that included 33 wins, 10 draws, and nine losses. Both of them even managed to break PSG’s monopoly by leading their team to League 1 victory in 2017.
Meanwhile, there’s been a recent linking of Silva with Barcelona. However, no deal happened between them, as Frankie de Jong remained in Catalonia and Manchester City refused to sell their star. Real Madrid seems to be in talks, too, while there’s a light rumor of him returning to Benefica.
To tempt Silva to PSG, the club might need to persuade Mbappe to stay a longer span and be included in a more competitive team.
