Ravindra Jadeja returns and takes a 5-wicket haul
Ravindra Jadeja was out of action for 5 months due to knee injury, and he went through a surgery too. He recently came back to cricket where he performed well in the Ranji trophy, and earning a spot to for the Border-Gavaskar series isn’t a big deal for a player who has served the nation well for so many years.
Eventually he proved his worth by getting some important wickets of Steve Smith, Labuschagne, and Peter Handscom, and made his return an absolute banger. Jadeja is expected to do well in the batting, and the rest of the series too.
Ashwin’s 450 test wickets
Besides’ Jadeja’s magnificent return, Ashwin reached another milestone by completing 450 test wickets in test cricket. He is the second-fastest to reach this milestone, the first being Muthiah Muralidaran, and is also the second Indian to take 450 wickes, the first being Anil Kumble. He took 3 wickets, which includes the important dismissals of Alex Carey and captain Pai Cummins.
India seems like taking a hold of the beginning of the match, and captain Rohit Sharma seems in a good form too who hs scored a half-century maintaining a good strike rate. However they certainly won’t take the Aussies lightly, and are expect to perform at their level best.
