    An injured Rohit Sharma smashes a 51 off 27, but India ends on the losing side

    In an upset against Bangladesh, where India lost the game by 5 runs, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma put up a brave show with a dislocated finger. He helped his side cross the winning line almost but unfortunately ended up on the losing side.

    During their fielding time, Rohit Sharma encountered an injury in his finger and wasn’t seen further in the field. Coming to chase down a 270+ total, Sharma put up a brave show to fight back from a collapsing batting situation. 

    Shreyas Iyer had the highest score of 82 from the Indian side. The next highest came from Axar Patel, who hit a well-made 56.

    When the Indian skipper walked into the 22 years at number 9, the side had few chances to convert the situation to a victory. Sharma took time to settle down, and after a while, it was all along a Hitman show. He came onto the bat with a strapped glove due to an injured finger. 

    Rohit Sharma’s fiery fifty off just 27 balls almost got India to win the game. His mesmerizing hits, including pull shots, were a treat to watch for the Indian and Hitman fans. At one stage, India needed to score 40 off 12 balls, and the Indian skipper scored 20 runs in Mahmudulla’s over.

    In the last over the equation was such that India needed 12 runs off 2 balls and the first one went for a six from Hitman’s bat. Unfortunately, the last yorker delivery didn’t get the treatment required to win the match. With that loss, India also lost the ongoing ODI series to Bangladesh.

    But Rohit’s stunning inning has earned huge appreciation from all over the globe. He’ll be expecting to return to the 22 years soon.

    Ruled out of the 3rd ODI

    Rohit Sharma will miss the 3rd ODI with Bangladesh, and if he’ll gets back for the test series, it’s yet to be found out. 

    The Indian cricket team coach and former Indian national side player Rahul Dravid said,

    “We are struggling with a few injuries as well. Not ideal. Kuldeep, Deepak, and Rohit will certainly miss the next game. Rohit will miss the next game, fly back to Bombay, consulting with an expert. Whether he’ll return for the test series or not, I’m not sure. It’s too early to say.”
