The ICC Men’s player of the Month nominations for October features players like Virat Kohli, Deepti Sharma, and Jemimah Rodrigues. Virat Kohli was nominated for his heroic tale against Pakistan in their first game of the T20 World Cup 2022. David Miller from South Africa had an impressive performance too with his bat in the same tournament. Sikandar Raza, ZImbabwe’s player also got nominated this time due to his mindblowing performance in the opening match.
On the other hand, for ICC women’s Player of the month, Indian players like Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma got nominated for their performances in the Asia Cup. Nida Dar is the other candidate for this category and she claimed the award for October for her contributions with the bat and ball.
Men’s Nominations
Virat Kohli (INDIA)
Virat Kohli got nominated for this award for the first time as he scored 205 runs and played to the best of his potential. Against Pakistan, he mustered 84 runs in 62 balls which is considered to be one of his finest performances. In T20 World Cup 2022, he already mustered three half-centuries.
David Miller ( South Africa)
David Miller scored 117 runs across 3 ODIs and 125 runs in two T20IS against India. In T20 World Cup, his unbeaten score of 59 runs helped his side win a game that had no possibility to be won by his team.
Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe)
The cricketer is having a gala time since this is the second time he got nominated in three months. He scored 145 runs and picked nine wickets at an average of 14.66 from his six T20Is and also win three Player of the match awards. For his contribution, Zimbabwe won the game against Ireland (82 not out) and Pakistan (3-25)
Women’s Nominations
Nida Dar (Pakistan)
Nida Dar scored 145 runs at an average of 72.50 in seven T20Is and scalped eight wickets. She also won the Player of the match award against India for scoring an unbeaten 56 and scalping two wickets for 23 runs in Sylhet.
Jemimah Rodrigues (India)
Jemimah Rodrigues was the leading runscorer in Asia Cup 2022. He mustered 217 runs at an average of 54.25. She scored 76 runs in the opening game which gave India an amazing start to the campaign.
Deepti Sharma (India)
Deepti Sharma had a good time in Asia Cup 2022. She scalped wickets at and an average of 7.69 and against Pakistan, she scalped three wickets in the semi-final that took place in Thailand.
