“His record-breaking scoring has put a stamp on the future of the game and makes him the heir to No. 9 – the next-generation striker.”

The popular sportswear company had sponsored the striker since he was 14, and his previous contract with the Oregon-based sportswear concluded in January 2022. From that time, Haaland was seen wearing Puma (Ultras), Adidas (X Speed Portals) and Nike (Mercurial Vapours) boots.

According to the English press, Haaland opted to go for Nike again to follow in the footsteps of his idol Ronaldo Nazario.

In addition to other big names

With that move, Nike can add Erling Haaland’s name to the list of their sponsorship with other big names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Marcus Rashford, Harry Kane, Kevin De Bruyne, Alexia Putellas, Ada Hegerberg, Leah Williamson, Sam Kerr and Megan Rapinoe.

Multiple reports suggest the sponsorship will cover his remaining career, and upcoming projects between the duo might include signature product lines.

Reportedly, Erling Haaland might become the new face of the ‘No 9’ boot, the line that came into existence in 1998 and was inspired by the Brazilian star Ronaldo.
