Shalie Lipps, the young MMA fighter passes away in a card accident before the biggest fight for her life
Shalie Lipps had the biggest fight of her career scheduled on May 20, at Ignite No Mercy 11 at the Kent Freeman Arena in Detroit Lakes against Natalie Gage. She became the victim of a terrible traffic accident on Interstate 94 in Minnesota when her car collided with a vehicle. Unfortunately, she wasn’t wearing the seatbelt during the accident at Red River Bridge, Moorhead.
Devastating news for the fans
The sudden news has left the viewers and fans in shock. Her coach Eric Sweeney took to her social media handle to write,
“My heart is absolutely broken.”
Sweeney further wrote,
“You were such a wonderful human, full of promise and drive. One of the few people I have ever met that was truly reaching for greatness. And I will never forget you. It is beyond my mind’s capacity today to think that I won’t see you this week…or ever again. We were just cracking the code.
Being your friend will change me forever. It already has. Thank you for all of the moments. All of our discussions, both personal and professional. The laughs, the tears and every emotion in between. I will remember all of them. I’m grateful for all of them.”
Shalie Lipp, the young Colorado fighter, had recorded there wins and two loses so far and was in Thailand busy with the preparations of a much anticipated faceoff.
