According to the sources, Blinkit, an online grocer, had an opening of its first “silent” store in Laxmi Nagar in East Delhi. This store is unique since it is run by 20 people with special needs who are unable to hear or talk. The startup is making this change in an effort to make its processes more accessible and inclusive.
Blinkit and Silent Store
Each of them is excellent in their work and is aware of their group’s purpose. In a blog post on Tuesday, the company stated that this pioneering effort in their ecosystem aims to increase work opportunities for the community of people with exceptional needs. Albinder Dhindsa, the founder and CEO of the business, also made the announcement on Twitter.
To open this silent store, the business collaborated with Dr. Reddy’s Foundation and Sarthak Educational Trust. The e-grocery company also stated that the Laxmi Nagar store had motivated them to search for further chances that take skill displayed in various ways into account.
The Laxmi Nagar store, according to the blog, reminds people that there is always more room to be inclusive, and the community’s sheer interest, enthusiasm, and vibrancy have increased our resolve to do more and provide more possibilities that are open to everyone. Currently, Blinkit, previously known as Grofers, operates over 400 outlets throughout 25 Indian cities.
