Dani Alves under investigation before upcoming football World Cup
Reports suggest Dani Alves is under investigation by the Brazilian Federal Public Ministry (MPF), for getting 6.2 million reais through an NGO that would not satisfy the requirements. The same platform also stated that former player Emerson Sheik is being investigated too since November 7.
A statement from Brazilian media read,
“The suspicion is that the organizations (NGOs) were inactive and were taken over by the players to circumvent the legal requirements to receive public funds.”
The NGO isn’t in existence for the last five years and although the organization has the name of the Brazil international, Mauricio Carlos, who presided over it. He’s the director charged with misappropriation at the Brazilian Football Confederation a few years back.
His third World Cup appearance
Concerning the sporting aspect, Dani Alves, who’s at present plying his trade at the Mexican club Pumas, will go to Qatar in the days to come. Joan Laporta greeted him with open arms so he can be ready before he joins the Brazil international side.
What did Tite say after the squad announcement?
After announcing his squad, Tite said,
“The criteria is the same as for the others: it combines individual technical quality, physical strength, and mental aspect.”
The statement further added,
“In my team, the full-backs don’t play as full-backs. They build from the back and the technical quality that Dani offers me is impressive.”
