Blue Origin auctioned the New Shepard ride with Jeff Bezos for a whooping amount of $28 million. Who is this person?

The bidding for one seat of New Shephard soared from the starting price of $4.8 million to about $28 million. Blue Origin conducted a month long auction for the first space trip ended on Saturday. The lucky person will get to experience space travel with billionaire founder Jeff Bezos. The closing bid of $28 million was quite unexpected. The New Shepard’s space flight is scheduled on 20th July 2021. This will mark the company’s first mission of flying humans. The winning bidder will travel for a few minutes in microgravity with Bezos, his brother Mark, and one other passenger before returning back to Earth.

    Who is it?

The identity of the winner is a secret for the next few weeks. This is because the company needs to complete some final deals and paperwork with them. Moreover, Ariane Cornel, the astronaut sales director of Blue Origin confirmed this during the live broadcast. The auction took place in Boston and Massachusetts facility that is currently owned by RR Auction. R R Auction was the hosting company for this bidding.

Moreover, many telephone operators gathered in the room to represent the 20 bidders. This brought the starting price of $4.8 million to $28 million in 10 minutes. However, the entire amount is going to the Blue Origin’s nonprofit charity, Club For The Future.
