    IPL 2023: Ben Stokes, and Cameron Green among 991 players to register for IPL Mega Auction 2023

    The deadline for the IPL auction has ended as already confirmed by the BCCI. Reports suggest that 991 players have registered for the auction which includes 714 Indians and 277 overseas players. Ben Stokes and Cameron Green Mayank Agarwal are among those 991 players who will have registered their names for the IPL auction.

    714 Indian players have registered themselves in total. There are 277 foreign players on the list, and 20 of them are from Associate countries. There are 185 players with caps who will go under the hammer.

    The ten franchises of IPL have already announced their retained players on November 15 and surprisingly, star players like Kane Williamson, Nicholas Pooran, and Mayank Agarwal were released by their franchises. The ten franchises altogether retained 163 players and opened 87 new slots for this auction. Other players like Joshua Little, and David Wiese have put their names as well and are expected to get sold in good amounts. Experienced players like Aaron Finch, Alex Hales, Pat Cummins, and Sam Billings have opted out.

    Dwayne Bravo got released by Chennai Super Kings and doesn’t have his name on the 991 registered list, so he might not be a part of this season. Steven Smith and Marnus Labusxhange don’t have their names on the list as well. As per speculations, they are involved in the Ashes preparation that will commence on June 16. Pat Cummins has opted out as well.
