The second week of Apex Legends’ new Wintertide Collection Event has begun, but the yearly holiday event isn’t the only source of festive, free cosmetics available to gamers this season. Respawn has revealed Apex’s latest pair of Prime Gaming cosmetics. The bundle contains an exclusive new Revenant skin, as well as a matching banner frame and Rampage weapon skin.
However, the $14/month subscription fee isn’t excessive (it’s even lower for students and those on government assistance), and it grants customers access to a plethora of free cosmetics for other games. Each month, a new bundle of in-game items replaces the current collection of free cosmetics, all of which are available only to Prime Gaming subscribers.
Apex’s Prime Gaming cosmetics can be obtained by linking your EA and Twitch accounts to an Amazon account with an active Prime subscription, then going to the Apex Legends page and pressing “redeem.” If everything is done correctly, the next time you check in to the game, you’ll see a pop-up screen confirming your receipt of the cosmetics.
Apex Legends December Prime Gaming bundle includes the following cosmetics:
- Candy Carnage Revenant legend skin (Epic)
- Grim Wrapper Revenant banner frame (Rare)
- Candy Pain Rampage LMG weapon skin (Rare)
The cosmetics are only available to Prime Gaming subscribers; but, if you don’t have a Prime Gaming subscription, you may still be able to get the skins by signing up for a free 30-day Amazon Prime trial. Keep in mind that you can only do this once every 12 months, so if you’ve recently taken advantage of a free trial offer, it won’t work.
Prime Gaming Bundles typically last around a month, but the release date of the next bundle is never disclosed in advance, so anyone looking to get their hands on December’s cosmetics should act quickly before they’re gone for good.
Apex Legends is free to play on console and PC. A mobile version of the game, Apex Legends Mobile, is available for download on Android and iOS devices.
