Official: Newcastle United confirms signing Anthony Gordon

There have been quite a lot of speculations and rumours before the final deal came to scenario. The Magpies came up as the suitors for the 21-year old winger by the beginning of the January transfer window.

Discussions on Everton’s move came up soon as Anthony Gordon remained absent for a few days from the club’s training as they entered into the possible talks. Gordon had his return to Finch Farm on Friday but travelled up to Tyneside during the weekend suggesting the club’s proposal of a fee.

    He added,

“I think the fan base and the city really suits me as a person, the way the team are playing under the gaffer at the minute really suits me, and the club just look like they’re heading in the right direction.

I feel like it’s a really big step. People haven’t seen what I’m capable of yet. I think under the gaffer, and the way the club’s going, I can really excel here.”
