    Zinedine Zidane is in plans for the vacant Brazil job, reports in France suggest. The French great has been out of work since May 2021 after walking away from Real Madrid. Then, he was linked with many jobs, including the France national team and Manchester United, until they appointed Erik ten Hag.

    Zinedine Zidane in plans as Tite’s replacement

    The former Real and French midfielder is now considered as a possible replacement for Tite, as reported by French newspaper L’EQUIPE. Other potential names on the list are Mauricio Pochettinho, Thomas Tuchel, or Rafel Benítez. Reports suggest the Brazilian FA is interested in appointing a foreigner after Tite left following Brazil’s schooling World Cup exit in the quarter-finals against Croatia in a penalty shootout. 

    Zinedine Zidane has been his plans as a possible successor to Didier Deschamps in the national team, but according to emerging expectations, he’ll be in charge of the national squad. The French Football Federation has plans to have a discussion with Deschamps ‘next week’ with a desire to extend his contract.

    Deschamps, who lifted the World Cup as a player in 1998 and a manager in 2018, has been at the helm of the side since 2012. Noel le Graet had made it firmly clear that he’s interested in keeping the 54-year-old in charge and gave a clear hint of Deschamps leading the team in the 2030 World Cup.

    Return to the club management?

    If Deschamps stays on, Zinedine Zidane will be interested in returning to club management, reports claim. The 50-year old three successive Champions League trophies as the Real manager between 2015-16 and 2017-18, and even led his team to glory in La Liga in both 2016-17 and 2019-20. 

    PSG went after him last summer before going with Christophe Galtier, but Zidane was less interested in joining the club at that moment. Reports suggest the former World Cup winner would be more interested in getting in a league he’s better acquainted with like Serie A or La Liga, rather than Champions League.

    Zidane is claimed to have an interest in Juventus’s position.
