The Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family Plan, which Microsoft had started testing in Ireland and Colombia last month, has now been made official. Up to four people will be able to share an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership under the new subscription option, which comes with all the benefits of the service.
Although US pricing information and global launch date are still pending, the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family Package will cost about $10 more than the current solo plan, which is priced at $15. The price of the plan is €22 in Ireland and 49,900 COP in Colombia, respectively. A current Game Pass Ultimate subscription will have its time changed to match the value of the Friends & Family Plan, according to an Xbox FAQ.
The primary account holder can invite up to four individuals at a time, with a maximum of eight people who accept to join your account every year, according to Microsoft. Subscribers can only be a part of one group at a time with their profile. Group members cannot share their Game Pass privileges with other accounts on their console; only the primary account holder is permitted to do so.
Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family Plan can only be shared with people who reside in your region or country, which is another restriction to be aware of. Group members will be expelled if they relocate and their new country or region of residency does not match the primary account holder’s.
If you haven’t already signed up, Xbox Game Pass is one of the best offers in the gaming industry. Access to a huge selection of new games every month, day-one releases for Xbox exclusives, and a tonne of EA Play library games are all provided by the monthly membership. Microsoft also plans to expand its game catalog with titles like Overwatch, Diablo, and Call of Duty if the Activision Blizzard acquisition is approved.
