Does this mean WhatsApp may have iPads support in the future? Does this feature carry the end-to-end encryption that WhatsApp is famous for?

WhatsApp has accepted that its long rumored multi-device prop will be entering the public beta testing arena. This will allow the users to access their accounts from up to four synced devices. Brand new features were also announced officially. These include “view once” and “disappearing mode”. An interview released the news. It was among WABetaInfo, WhatsApp head Will Cathcart, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

    WhatsApp on iPad?

WhatsApp stopped short of confirming reports of its compatibility with an iPad app in development but established that its multi-device support will make WhatsApp on iPad a possibility.

Secondly, Zuckerberg confirmed that they are adding a new “view once” item. This allows users to send messages that vanish after being viewed. The service is also expanding its disappearing feature. It currently lets the messages be deleted after a set time period. In the future, a new “disappearing mode” will let its user turn on disappearing messages across all chat boxes.

It has been confirmed that the multi-device support will not be disrupting the end-to-end encryption that WhatsApp offers for its messages. “It will still be end to end encrypted,” Zuckerberg wrote.

WhatsApp did not specify the “view once” and “disappearing mode” items to support launch dates. However, Will Cathcart said that it will be open to the public for beta testing within the next couple of months.

WABetaInfo has commented that it is working on a better password-protected encrypted chat backup feature. It could finally allow users to transfer their chat histories between iOS and Android devices. It has previously discovered numerous features before its official release. This includes adding contacts via QR codes and disappearing messages feature.
