    In this competitive world, every country is always eager to make a new record in this area. The maximum nations have their own space agencies and research centers. Today 72 countries have their own space agencies.

    10. Italian Space Agency (ASI)

    Annual Budget: $2.1 billion 

    Italian Space Agency was set up in 1988 and headquartered in Rome. In the world, this space agency become one of the top space agencies. The agency already worked on many important projects by collaborating with many space agencies like Mars Express, Venus Express, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, and Juno. Recently, this space agency working on a project named Arian 5 and ESA.

    German Aerospace is one of the oldest space agencies in the world. It was established in 1969. The main DLR also conducts many missions, plans, and implementations. Lowes carbon dioxide power generation, solar thermal power generation technologies, and ultra-efficient, renewable energy sources are the main areas in which this agency is currently working. The major projects the space agency holds Mars Express mission, the Global navigation satellite system Galileo, and Shuttle Rader Topography Mission.

    France’s this space center is also one of the oldest space centers established in 1961. This agency is newly known as CNES. In the world, it is the third oldest space agency. The French space agency collaborated with German to develop a methane-powered reusable that cut the price drastically. Grace Space Agency also reveals Megha-Tropiques the main target of this mission is to study the water in the tropical atmosphere. Megha- Tropiques was launched successfully and dropped into the orbit with help of a PSLV rocket.

    7. Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) 

    Annual Budget: $2.55 billion 

    SpaceX is different from the others as it is the first private space research company in the world. Elon Musk who is an intelligent man established it in 2002. The main goal of SpaceX is to cut the cost of going to space. The headquarter of this space agency is in Hawthorne, California. Till now, any space agency has not made a rocket that can be reused after returning. SpaceX also working on its Starship rocket mission. SpaceX aims of sending 1453 satellites to make a record and it has been done with a rocket named Falcon 9. 

    6. Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)      

    Annual Budget: $2.6 billion 

    Japan’s national space agency is also known as JAXA.  This space center was established in 2003 and headquartered in Tokyo. JAXA was formed by merging three organizations. The main mission of this space agency is about Asteroid  Ryugu located 300 million km far away from earth. Recently, the space agency is working on n Human Space Program and reusable launch vehicles and working on sending such human-robot to the moon.

    5. Russian Federal Space Agency (RFSA) 

    Annual Budget: $3.37 billion 

    Russia has many successes in this first as Russia is the first country that has brought the soil of the moon to the earth. Spotnik-1 is the world’s first artificial satellite. Lina 1 was the first spacecraft that reached very close to the moon’s surface. They are working on a mission GLONASS of launching 24 satellites at a time. 

    4. European Space Agency (ESA) 

    Annual Budget: $7.43 billion 

    Europe’s multi-governments space agency was established in 1975. ESA has finished many projects like the Venus mission, Rosetta mission, Mars mission, and Carot space telescope mission. 

    Recently, ESA plans to launch a very interesting mission and it’s named as Ariel Space mission, the main goal of this mission is to collect all the information’s from the exoplanets, they are also working on a project of junk collector; to bring space debris to Earth, named it Clearspace-1.

    3. China National Space Administration (CNSA) 

    Annual Budget: $8.9 billion 

    China’s most successful space agency was set up in 1993. The company has sent over 4500 satellites into space, and CNSA sent 412 out of 4500. China also sent its space station Tiangong-1 in space in 2011. CNSA successfully made a soft landing on the moon in 2014 by Change 2, their first robotic lunar lander and rover. Now China is preparing to send such spacecraft into space that will capture Jupiter and Saturn images closely. 

    2. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) 

    Annual Budget: $11.5 billion 

    For India, it is definitely a huge achievement as ISRO is now one of the top space agencies in the world. ISRO was set up in 1969. ISRO first discovered the existence of water on the moon, and also it can be transformed into ice form. By launching satellites into space with a single rocket named PSLV-C37, ISRO set a new world record.

    On the first attempt, India’s space agency launched spacecraft successfully on Mars. ISRO successfully achieved its mission of Mars, Mangalyaan 1 with a budget of $75 million. The PSLV rockets are the best launch vehicle in the world.

    1. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) 

    Annual Budget: $22.6 billion 

    NASA is one of the best space agencies in the world. NASA is a US-based space agency. There are many great achievements in cosmology. In the last few days, NASA got huge success. NASA’s popular research programs are Hubble Space Telescope, Viking 1, Chandra X-ray Observatory, Voyager 1, Voyager 2, Skylab, space shuttle, and Apollo.

    NASA discovered many unknowns like the concept of mega cosmic bodies, uncountable galaxies star clusters, supernova, nebula, etc. America is the first country to launch a man on the moon.
