Suryakumar Yadav left Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma behind to become India’s best batter. He’s one spot away from the no.1 position in the World’s best T20 batter list. Currently, Babar Azam is the best batter in the world according to ICC Test rankings. Suryakumar Yadav’s 76 runs out of 44 balls helped him to become the best batter in India’s T20I format.

Surya Kumar has been having a top-notch form in the current T20I series against West Indies. He’s the only Indian batter to be among the Top 10 list and can even dethrone Babar Azam if he can score 30+ runs in the next game against West Indies. In the latest weekly release of the rankings, Yadav skipped three spots to seal second place. Pakistani batter Babar Azam is only two points ahead of Suryakumar Yadav.

The batter made his international debut last year and since then there has been no looking back. He grabbed the cricketing fraternity and fans’ attention by smashing a century against England in Nottingham in July 2022. His popularity further increased in India’s last match against West Indies. He mustered a total of 111 runs at a strike rate of 168 through the first three matches of the series contributing in India’s win.
