Suryakumar Yadav who’s the world’s number 1 batter achieved one more milestone. he became the first Indian player to cross 1000 T20I runs in one calendar year. Suryakumar Yadav mustered 61 runs off 21 balls that helped India to post a big target of 187 runs against Zimbabwe.
Suryakumar Yadav is the number 1 batter in the world and smashed good runs against the African side. In the game, he came to bat at number 4 and he performed from the very first delivery. His batting strike rate was 244 and he hit 6 boundaries and 4 sixes. KL Rahul smashed a fifty and Virat Kohli managed to score 26 runs. India also finalised its spot in the semifinals against England.
After Mohammad Rizwan, Suryakumar became just the second player to accomplish the feat. In 2021, Rizwan scored 1326 runs. In the most recent ICC rankings, Suryakumar surpassed Rizwan to take the top spot among T20I batters just four days ago.
