Spotify target’s TikTok by testing its vertical feed of music videos feature

    Spotify, the Swedish music streaming service, is testing a new feature in its mobile app that adds a vertical feed of music videos, similar to TikTok, that users can scroll through to find something they enjoy.

    Several applications, including Instagram and YouTube, are emulating TikTok’s vertical short video stream.

    The functionality was discovered in the Spotify for iOS beta, which is accessible on TestFlight. According to 9To5Google, a new button in the app’s tab bar sends users to a new vertical video experience where they may swipe up or down to watch short video segments.

    According to the source, Spotify refuses to disclose more information regarding the vertical stream of music videos.

    However, the corporation stated in a statement that it has been investigating the possibility of a vertical video feed.

    The feature may be based on Spotify’s existing Canvas format.
