Sony plans to release its new PS5 Pro Controller with Additional Features

Sony is said to be working on a hardware series for its PlayStation 5 gaming console. This includes a PS5 Pro Controller, which Sony plans to unveil soon. Given these considerations, the PS5 will not be introduced this year. According to tipster Tom Henderson, a person close to Sony’s gaming console division showed him photos of a prototype of the future controller.

The new controller will seem similar to the PlayStation 5 controller in appearance but will have some additional features. There will be removable stick units that can be replaced using buttons beneath the analog sticks. It will also have trigger stops and what appears to be a detachable grip. The Pro controller will also have flappy paddles, similar to Microsoft’s Xbox Elite Wireless Controller.

Henderson also mentioned that Sony’s new controller is being dubbed the PS5 Pro Controller, though it’s unclear if it will be the official name. It will also include significant software improvements over the existing generation of PS5 controllers

Henderson also stated that Sony’s gaming division is expected to announce the controller soon, with a late June or early July release date being a possibility. Sony plans to produce new gear as well. This might include a completely new storage option for the open SSD slot.

Coming to video games, Sony is set to release God of War: Ragnarok in November, which is one of the year’s most anticipated titles. While the actual date of the event is uncertain, it is assumed that Sony will reveal the launch date at the same time as the new PlayStation 5 hardware.
