A new Resident Evil 4 remake comparison video has surfaced online, emphasizing some of the graphic enhancements over the original featured in yesterday’s Capcom Showcase clip.
ElAnalistaDeBits’ new video highlights, among other things, the time of day changes and lighting improvements at the start of the game, which result in a creepier atmosphere, as well as the character model detail improvements, with Leon looking much more detailed than he did in the Resident Evil 2 remake.
This time, the game is being built to achieve cutting-edge quality for a survival horror game suited for 2023 while maintaining the original game’s core. The Developers wanted to make the game seem familiar to series fans while also giving it a fresh feel. This is accomplished by reinventing the game’s storyline while maintaining the game’s overall direction, upgrading the graphics, and bringing the controls up to date.
The biological tragedy in Racoon City occurred six years ago. One of the survivors of the tragedy, Leon S. Kennedy, has been hired as an agent who will report directly to the president. Leon is dispatched to recover the president’s stolen daughter, armed with the experience of multiple missions behind him. He follows her to a remote European town where the people are suffering from a mysterious illness. And with that, the curtain lifts on this harrowing tale of survival horror and rescue.
Resident Evil 4 remake launches on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on March 24th, 2023.
