The Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain are looking forward to offloading 7 players during the upcoming transfer window in January.  As per reports, they want to balance their wage book, hence looking to discharge some load from their club. At present, the French capitals are reigning at the top of the table in Ligue 1, with 12 points in their pocket. They aren’t struggling in their present campaign hence strategizing to reduce their wage bill.

The players PSG might offload from the club

Reports state that a maximum of seven senior players could be shown in the January transfer window. Goalkeeper Sergio Rico might be his way out who has struggled throughout his game along with Abdou Diallo and Thilo Kehrer who haven’t shown their up to the mark performance in the playing time.

Layvin Kurwaza is another name on the list, as Mauricio Pochettino prefers to pick Bernat and Nuno Mendes over him. The 28-year-old Rafinha who plays as a midfielder could also find his way out along with his fellow midfielder Leandro Paredes. The final name on this list could be reportedly Mauro Icardi. In his 15 appearances for the club, he has scored only 3 goals across the 2021 competitions. Also, Icardi has not made his appearance for Argentina since 2018.

    Advantages for the club

With discharging 7 players, PSG will get a heavy relaxation on their wage bill, and they might get a huge advantage of bringing at least one or 2 players through the summer transfer window, which would derive them good results. Also, Kylian Mbappe might not renew his contract with PSG and might go to another club, where PSG will get more relaxation on their wages. However, losing Mbappe is not what PSG might want to have.
