PSG’s prospects of advancing to the quarter-finals have become even slimmer with their talisman’s position in doubt and only 10 days until the encounter at Parc des Princes, following losing 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu on February 14.
After the match, Neymar shared a photo of his ankle in a brace to his Instagram account, writing, “Ended up like this today.”
He did not indicate the problem’s seriousness. After the game, teammates Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva both spoke out about the issue, expressing their hope that the Brazilian was not gravely wounded. Neymar has 20 goals in 20 Ligue 1 games this season, his first in the French top tier after a world-record summer transfer from Barcelona.
