Beyoncè, Billie Eilish, and other nominees for the best original song will be seen performing at Sunday’s Oscars 2022, as announced by the show’s producer on Tuesday. Beyoncè will be performing her shortlisted song “Be Alive” from King Richard, and Eilish along with her brother and co-writer Finneas will be seen performing No Time to Die from the famous James Bond movie of the exact name.

Oscars 2022: Star Performances Await Audience

Sebastian Yatra will perform on the nominated song Dos Oruguitas, from Enchanto written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Reba McEntire will sing Somehow You Do, written by Diane Warren from the movie Four Good Days.

Van Morrison, the writer and singer of the nominated song Down to Joy from Belfast, will be unable to make it to Oscars 2022 concerning his touring schedule. Hence, the song will not be performed.

The actual song Academy Award is received by the songwriter and not the performing artist. Whoever grabs it this year will be the first to hold the Oscar title.  That includes Beyoncè, a 28 time Grammy winner, the co-writer of Be Alive with Dixson. This year’s nomination is the 13th one for Warren and is still in search of her first win.

Miranda will collaborate with the elite “EGOT” winner club of an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony should Dos Oruguitas win. The song was nominated as the Oscar shortlisting from Enchanto before another song from Miranda from the Disney movie We Don’t Talk About Bruno became a success.

    Return to Hollywood’s Dolby

The Oscars will be seen returning to Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre after the deadly pandemic shifted the ceremony to Union Station, for a tinier, more intimate arrangement last year.
