The upcoming Need for Speed game is apparently ready for announcement by Electronic Arts. The publisher published the eyes emoji in response to the notion that it will reveal the new instalment in its well-liked racing series this week. Typically, this is done to tease a potential genuine thing.
On September 29, Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming wrote that the upcoming Need for Speed game, Need for Speed Unbound, would be revealed within the next several weeks.
According to the story, the game will be unveiled in a 90-second teaser, and its scheduled release date is December 2, 2022. The music for the unnamed game will purportedly include songs from the artist A$AP Rocky. According to the Insider Gaming source, Need for Speed Unbound would emphasise multiplayer and have “meetups,” which allow people to coordinate to engage in races.
According to the source, Need for Speed Unbound will only be available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for its console release. It will also be available on PC.
The new Need for Speed is reportedly being created by Burnout creator Criterion. A work-in-progress version of the game looked to be depicted in leaked gameplay footage that surfaced in September, showing a car trying to jump over a circular barrier before colliding with it. Along with photorealistic graphics combined with anime characteristics, the leaked footage also features some animated aspects reminiscent of arcade games.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit was remastered and released in 2020 for the Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
