Karim Benzema has got an invitation to be present in the World Cup final, as reports suggest. Being asked if Benzema had the chance to play in the World Cup final, Didier Deschamps kept it cold by simply replying, “Next question.”
Macron is willing to take not only Benzema to the final but everyone who has been in the tournament or couldn’t appear due to injuries, like Paul Pogba or N’Golo Kante.
Amelie Oudea-Castera, France’s sports minister, said,
“I know that he is keen to do it, and that is being studied. We will see if it’s possible.”
Benzema is not injured anymore
The point is his case is slightly different from others. This morning,
He was seen playing in Madrid, where the star striker played a friendly match against Leganes.
Reports suggest earlier that Deschamps ruled him out due to his injury, considering he will not be back soon. But from his recovery, it’s evident that the deadlines from FFF were not merging with the injury extent, and the evidence was his friendly encounter against Leganes.
Will he be there?
Benzema’s presence in Qatar, therefore, has a strong possibility. His idea was not to be present, although the power of persuasion of the French President needs to be considered here. He could convince Mbappe to stay back at PSG. If that was possible, then why not this?
Whether Benzema is present in the final or not, if France defends their title, he’ll be, on paper, a World Champion because the national side didn’t replace him.
An exciting final match is on its way this Sunday, with Messi all set to play his last World Cup game. Will the defending champions defend their title, or will Argentina win their third World Cup championship?
Answers coming this Sunday.
