According to Serbian reports, Fiorentina has reached an agreement to lend Luka Jovic from Real Madrid and pay only half of her salary.
Luka Jovic was in the limelight as a loan player for Eintracht Frankfurt from Benfica from 2017 to 2019. He scored 25 goals in Frankfurt in his 54 league games.
However, he has been struggling to impress Bernabeu, scoring only three goals in 34 games so far. Jovic rented out the second half of the 2020/21 season at his former club, Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Serbia international is expected to leave Bernabeu at the end of the season. He has reportedly decided to leave the Spanish capital.
The 24-year-old forward, bought from Eintracht Frankfurt for €63 million in 2019, quickly dropped under Carlo Ancelotti and played only 19 games this season.
Fiorentina Willing to Borrow Luka Jovic From Real Madrid
According to Buta Sport in Serbia, Real Madrid agreed to lend Jovic to Fiorentina during the 2022-23 season, paying half of the annual net salary of €5 million during that period.
They want him to be resurrected in Fiorentina and follow in the footsteps of Dusan Vlahovic, hence earning a transfer elsewhere. Viola attacked Vincenzo Italiano and entered the conference league playoffs.
This is not the first time Jovic has led to a transfer to Serie A. He is said to have been interested in Milan, Juventus, and Rome in recent years.
To that end, Jovic is Fiorentina’s viable target but is also linked to several Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, West Ham United, and Everton.
Real Madrid is ready to lend or negotiate permanently with the Serie A club and it is unclear whether Jovic will eventually replace his compatriots at the Studio Artemio Franchi.
