As the World Cup approaches, more and more advertisements remind us of the upcoming football extravaganza.

And World Cup is almost unimaginable without Pepsi’s offering. They even went so far as to tease the actual promo with a 26-second clip on their YouTube channel.

The soft drink maker sees Sir Alex Ferguson’s halftime team talk from a different perspective. The soft drink company seems to have a habit of making some of the commercials showing how wrestlers beat the world’s best footballers in their own matches, among some of football’s most memorable moments.

‘Nutmeg Royale’ clip lands prior to next month’s World Cup in Qatar

As for this year, Pepsi enlisted the help of Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba, and Brazilian legend Ronaldinho, all of whom are appearing in the teaser of ‘Nutmeg Royale’.

The trio can be seen at various points in the trailer, along with his three other characters Omar, Kaljit, and Ahmad, showing off their skills on the streets of what looks like an Arabian city.

A message will appear on your screen to give you insight into your campaign history. The following message is displayed, ‘This year, a nutmeg will stop the world. And no one can escape from it.’

The trailer ends with Messi taking off his white hoodie to reveal the Pepsi top he’s wearing underneath.

Pepsi has a habit of creating eye-catching ads involving the game’s biggest stars.

In recent years, the company has had big brand ambassadors such as David Beckham, Francesco Totti, and Raul.
