It’s that time of the year! The most awaited one among many cricket lovers indeed. Yes, you guessed it right. The TATA Indian Premier League is all set to commence on 31st March. This season, the teams will get to play in traditional venues for the first time since the onset of COVID.

Let us find out more about the biggest celebrations of cricket, IPL 2023, that’s coming up.

IPL 2023: traditional playing venues back again

The first match of IPL 2023 will be between the defending champions Gujarat Titans and four-time winners Chennai Super Kings in Ahmedabad. This year, the tournament will be in its traditional home-away match format, and that’s indeed great news for the fans. This season will host a total of 70 matches to be held in 12 cities. Besides the ten regular grounds, the additional venues are Guwahati (Royal’s second home) and Dharamshala (King’s second home).

There’ll be two groups, and each team will play seven home and seven away games. In group A we have MI, RR, KKR, DC and LSG. Again, CSK, PBKS, SRH, RCB, and GT are allotted in Group B.

Who will move into the playoffs this season?

The auction has been tempting, and all the teams have geared up well with the best preparations. Looking at the squads, it might be difficult to suggest four names to get into the playoffs. There are rumors that Dhoni will be playing his last IPL. Quite obviously, the men in yellow will try their best to win it for their captain. Again, MI didn’t have a decent run last year, which might trigger them to perform extra well this season.

The clash of the teams will be a treat to watch. Whom do you support in the IPL?
